If you can get past the Texan accent, then you’ll come to the conclusion that Rooster is dope. Straight out of Houston, Texas this talented emcee brings solid flow, delivery, wordplay, and definite skills to the world of hip hop.

The best track off Stowaways and Throwaways is “Lab Rats”. Tight lyrics, and a strong beat make this track blazing. This track is one you’ll definitely feel. The banging beat compliments Roosters abusive flow. Definitely a hot track.

The weakest link in this solid album is “Bullshit filler Song”, but it’s a good expression of independent artistry so it definitely contributes to the overall aura of the album. This song did have a point, and was intended to be a mock, but the concept wasn’t funny, and just didn’t work well. The lyrics were reminiscent of the 1980’s when people rhymed cat, with hat, and mouse with house. In this track Rooster also had a problem keeping his flow to the dull drum loop beat that drowned this listener out.

For the most part this albums quality is consistent; however, it does have its dips and winds, but the album as a whole is a great example of independent artistry at its best. This emcee is definitely expected to produce many more tight tracks in the future. Be on the look out.
