Nelly - NellyVilleExpect nothing less than fine rhymes laid in highly explosive, intense fashion sure to get the dullest of crowds hype. Nelly has a passion for juicing up his lyrics through delivery, and NellyVille is another fine example of his unparalleled talent. 15 electrifying tracks, all incredible in both verbal, and musical aspects. Definitely a sure bet fan favorite featuring other highly talented performers such as King Jacob, Kelly Rowland, Justin Timberlake, Freeway, Beanie Sigel, and Murphy Lee. Solid through the whole 9 yards, never plagued with anything sub par, or lack luster. A solid, heavy weight release by the highly talented Nelly.

Starting the album fresher than ever is the title track, “NellyVille“, which is an explosive track flexing Nelly’s hard hitting flow, rhymes, and delivery. Nelly does a masterful job with the vocals, which compliment the incredible beat, & musical contributions on the track. NellyVille is a definite highlight track, the most appreciated fan favorite. Served next, and raising the heat another notch is “Hot In Here” which is an explosive track showcasing a magnificent beat, and Nelly’s awesome, dynamic delivery. NellyVille continues to bring forth the hits with other highlight tracks including, but not limited to, “Dem Boyz”, Dilemma”, and “Roc The Mic-Remix”. “Dem Boyz” is an up beat gem packing intense, hard hitting lyrics, and a powerfully captivating beat. “Dilemma” features the voice of the lovely Kelly Rowland, whom which delivers an incredible contribution raising “Dilemma” up another notch. Kelly’s contribution surely makes “Dilemma” that much more of a fan favorite, as well as a special track fans need to recognize. “Roc The Mic-Remix” is a head nodding sure shot “classic” featuring super-friends such as Freeway, Beanie Sigel, and Murphy Lee alongside Nelly. Hot verses backed by an explosive beat drive this track hard making it unforgettable in the minds of listeners. One of NellyVille’s highlight features is its consistency of music, and production. For example, every featured song is top level quality, songs like “Oh Nelly”, “The Gank”, and “#1” are incredible, easily top charting fan favorites, and yet, there are many other incredible songs blessing NellyVille. Truly one of the best, all around vibe, album releases of the year. NellyVille is not so overly hard core, or underground that it drowns out certain listeners, nor is it so R&B, club vibben that it drowns out other listeners. NellyVille has a sound that appeals to R&B, Hip Hop, and Rap fans, club goers, crib loungers, and ridders. A well rounded album.

“Work It” featuring Justin Timerlake is another great song, but one has to wonder how many hip hop fans would appreciate such a song. For example, how many hip hop fans would crank “Work It” while lounging with their boyz. Justin Timerlake is a very popular artist, but certainly isn’t what even the below average hip hop fan would consider “hip hop”; however, this song does add to the albums wide scale marketability reaching out to broader audience. This is why fans are being exposed to “pop star” appearances in songs featuring Hip Hop, and R&B artists.

Concluding, NellyVille is a great album fans need to recognize. There are no disappointments with regards to the consistent quality of music featured. 15 hot songs, 68 minutes of high octane, sure to raise the roof. Fans will loop this album over, and over in their decks as NellyVille is electrifying, making fans feel alive. Emotion packed, stacked with hot lyrics, and beats, don’t sleep.
