iCON the Mic King is an underground hip hop icon that continuously spits venom on the microphone. His lyrics are always intensely delivered, usually carrying a well though-out, deeply reflected, and injected message. He is easily one of the best storytelling, and most creative lyricists on the planet. The “Intricate Spectrum EP” contains nothing but pure heat that will scorch fans to a crisp with the hottest rhymes fans need to hear. “Intricate Spectrum EP” contains nine full length tracks, as well as one bonus track tailing off the release. Running time on deck is approximately forty nine minutes. The EP sets off with a creative intro track featuring strong lyrics infused in a solid rhyme. The second track, “Hatred”, is a decent track that again features some beautiful lyrics that will please both ears. It’s with the third track, “God Amongst Men” that the EP opens wide to gusher an explosion. The beat is pure heat unleashed, and the lyrics are fiercely intense. This is a muscular track that will knock fans out. iCON absolutely destroys the microphone. The only downside to this piece is that at the end of the track, approximately 3.5 minutes in, the beat ends, and an accapela takes shape. It’s at that moment fans are disappointed that the beat ended, but still pleased to be entertained by the hot lyrics. It’s almost as track three on this EP is two different songs mixed together (a full length, & accapella). “The Lotus Flower”, “Pocket Change”, “From Dusk Til Dawn” follow delivering some high octane music for fans to enjoy. The creativity, cinematic feel, and uniqueness of each track are refreshing. Each song delivers a special element of its own, and the EP still flows flawlessly like every piece was made to perfectly fit together. It’s with “Fuck You Pay Me” that fans get dazzled with another of the EP’s super-heavy weight tracks. “Fuck You Pay Me” is raw, rugged, and hard hitting. The voice is loud, the message is clear. The EP continues with some more hot music that fans need to tune into. This EP is one of the best EP’s released to date.

The EP’s presentation is creative, and certainly appealing. The artwork is stunning, and much conceptualized. The production is outstanding, as are the quality of the beats. Production contributed by Chum the Skrilla Guerilla, Godamus Rhyme, and more.

This EP is worth every ounce of listening attention. iCON the Mic King delivers via some intense rhymes, lyrics, and songs. This EP is mandatory listening.
