Shabaam Sahdeeq - "No Surrender" / "No Surrender (Remix)"

Ex-Rawkus MC, Shabaam Sahdeeq, is an underground favorite for his native street style. But his latest single release after Never Say Never will definitely leave new listeners in doubt. The original version, produced by Celph Titled, boasts marginal, upbeat battle production. There are no added/missing verses on the remix, which is a bad thing considering that Alchemist comes rather weak with his instrumental. His loop is incredible repetitive and, ultimately, annoying. Since there are no new lyrics from either MC, the original and the remix simply compete for the better production. However, neither of the songs have a dope beat, so in the end, the 12-inch is just mediocre.
