Album Review : Lord Have Mercy - "Come On Down" b/w "Charge" & "We Will"
Artist: Lord Have Mercy
Album: "Come On Down" b/w "Charge" & "We Will"
Record Label:
Released On: Unknown
Hot Hip Hop Score Card
Production: Ice Pirate
Anyone wanna wild out? Come On Down is perfect for it. Over a high energy track produced by Ice Pirate, Lord Have Mercy spits thuggish multis that will make you take cover under your set. This shit is NOT what i normally like, but its hot. "Charge" is not as high energy, but the hook will have you singing along, and you'll DEFINITELY wanna turn this shit up. LHM flips multisyllabic compounds, as well as plain ol' multis for the whole track, and kills it. He's blessed with an exciting verse that reminds me of an angry KRS-One. This is the type of track that will have you turning your headphones up all the way on the bus, not giving a shit if people hear you. "We Will" (the Sword & Shield Anthem) is another Wild Out track that'll have you bouncing around in a crowd or your bedroom. Over chorus voices and drum hits (a HOT beat), LHM rips more threatening, grimy verses. This 12" will have you wondering what Busta Rhymes was thinking when he dropped LHM from the Flipmode Squad. Hot shit. [HeadLine]
